Tonia is inspired by the beauty of nature and people's interaction with the changing moods and colours of the weather. In Rhythm of the Sea, she has created a lively day at one of the ocean beaches of the Mornington Peninsula. The colour and movement of the waves is captured. The scene depicts a group of colourful beach umbrellas and people, and a dog, enjoying the day. Tonia's fictitious character, Wendy (aka 'Where's Wendy) appears in this painting leaving the water. Shades of turqoise, blue and white acrylic paint has been applied freely using palette knives and brushes. The painting is on a quality cotton canvas with a white timber external floating frame.
