Tonia is inspired by the beauty of nature and people's interaction with the changing moods and colours of the weather. Coastal Tranquility is inspired by a stunning and calm day at Mount Martha, one of the bayside beaches on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. The vivid colour of the water with the contrasting green reflection of the headland gave Tonia the inspiration for this artwork . The scene was just so peaceful with a couple of boats in the distance. The painting will bring colour and calmness to any home.
Shades of turqoise, blue, green and white acrylic paint has been applied freely using palette knives and brushes. The painting is on a quality cotton canvas with a white timber external floating frame. It has wire across the back, ready to hang and is finished and protected with two coats of satin varnish.
