Cool Waters - Shelley Beach Portsea

A$2,500.00
sold out

160 X 80 X 5.5 CM

Original acrylic on canvas

Diptych - set of 2

Each painting measures 80 x 80 x 5.5 CM

INDIVIDUALLY FRAMED

Tonia is influenced by the beauty of the ocean. She wants the viewer to be drawn into the scene with happy thoughts of the beach and summer time. This extraordinary view is of the private boatsheds and jetties of Shelley Beach, bayside on the Mornington Peninsula. It depicts people having fun in the sun. Tonia's fictitious character, Wendy, is seen on the waters edge in her red bikini. Tonia was in awe of this 'blue bird' summer's day and painted with vivid blues enhancing the ocean and sky.

To capture the entire panorama, Tonia has used two canvases. These two paintings are both included in this offer and each are beautifully framed in a white timber float frame. Each painting is 80 x 80 x 5.5cm and will hang nicely side-by-side.

Acrylic paint has been applied with brush and palette knife and finished with two coats of matt varnish. The artwork consists of two paintings both on thick edge quality cotton canvas. The paintings are framed individually and each has a wire across their back ready to hang.

*The paintings are framed individually in white, timber, floating frames. They have been painted to hang together, however, they can be hung separately.

Allow for a space between each painting of at least 2 cm. The space between will depend on your preference. The size shown above is the framed size (* the size does not include the space between the 2 paintings)

Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity

*Free shipping within Australia*
