Tonia is inspired by the beauty of nature and the changing moods and colours of the weather. Through the Dunes, was inspired from a bluebird day whilst visiting Montfords Beach, an ocean beach south of Koonya Beach on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. The array of vivid blue tones of the water are captured as are the free flowing, undulating sand dunes. The viewer's eye is drawn along the sandy path to the ocean. This painting is aimed to bring your home a calmness with happy and reflective thoughts of summer.
The artwork is acrylic paint on premium cotton canvas. An external, whitewash timber floating frame has been added, with wire across the back, ready to hang. The painting is finished with two coats of satin varnish.
